To take pictures of
very small objects.
Either with a
modified microscope
lens, adapted to a
camera bellows, or
by adapting a camera
to a microscope.
These photographs, of
insect wing fragments,
were made using the
first solution.
A magnification of
10 times on the
negative, and
125 times on the
final print was used
for all the images.
The original wing
fragment is 3.6 mm
(0.14 inch) high.
