Gum bichromate
Technique of
photography where
pigments mixed
with arabic gum and
water, sensitised
with bichromates, are
spread onto paper and
left to dry. Exposed to
light under a negative,
then developed in
water, finally fixed
and washed to
become permanent.
The single insect
prints measure:
56 x 76 centimetres
22 x 30 inches,
and the diptychs:
101,6 x 64,8 centimetres
(40 x 25,5 inches).
All prints are
unique.
